EARLY BIRD

 

General

10% off Cat entry total if paid by May 10, 2020

 

There will be a $6.00 substitution fee and a $12.00 surcharge per call for all entries phoned in.  Please make cheques or money orders payable to Garden City Cat Club.  No post dated cheques will be accepted and benching will be refused until fees are paid in full.  Overpayments will be considered a donation to the rosette fund.  A $30.00 charge will be applied to all returned cheques.

Deadlines

 Entries (including payment) must be received by June 21, 2020 •All fees, services related to the show are due and payable within 24 hours of entry and/or summary forms submission, whether it be by website, phone, fax, email, or snail-mail, and as such constitutes an agreement to pay for those services, even if you fail to bench, or withdraw from the show. •All fees can be paid in Canadian or U.S. funds. Money orders and bank checks are to be made payable to "Garden City Cat Club". ;NO REFUNDS! Once an entry or service has been received, only substitutions may be made, for a fee. Any excess payment will be considered a donation to the show. •Cats co-owned by members of two different households are eligible for multiple entry discounts ONLY if a photocopy of the cat's TICA registration accompanies the cat's entry showing the names of both co-owners.5

The show hall will be open at  for check in 7:30 -8:30 am Saturday

Judging will begin promptly at:
Saturday 9:30am Sunday 10am      Advertised hours:    10:am - 4pm both days

 
Entries not benched at the start of judging will be marked absent. Household Pet classification will take place in the first ring that they are judged in and will remain in that colour class for the duration of the show. No entry will be permitted to leave the show hall before judging is finished unless permission is obtained from the Show Manager.

Judges

ELIGIBILITY FOR ENTRY

 

General

Every cat/kitten brought into the show hall must be listed in the catalogue. Therefore, you will need to fill out and submit anOfficial Entry Blank on EVERY cat/kitten that will be in the show hall  for competition, exhibition and/or for sale. No exceptions. In order to qualify for multiple cat discounts for co-owned cats, a copy of the TICA registration listing all the owners must be sent with your entries. Garden City Cat Club accepts no responsibility for catalogue errors due to illegible or incorrect entry forms. If the entry clerk needs additional information, the exhibitor will be called collect.

Kittens

Kittens must be at least four calendar months of age to be eligible for competition as kittens in this show.  (Born on or before Feb 26, 2020  for Saturday or on or before Feb 27, 2020, for Sunday)  Altered kittens may be shown.

Household Pets

TICA registration is not mandatory. HHPets adults and kittens must be registered to be scored for TICA ANNUAL AWARDS.  All HHPets over the age of eight months MUST be altered.  HHPets are judged according to hair length - Longhair (LH) or Shorthair (SH) and according to colour and division.  Please describe your cat's colour and coat pattern accurately and note whether LH or SH on your entry.  A colour photo mailed with your entry will be returned.

Cats

Cats are 8 calendar months of age and older from the date of the show. With the exception of Korats, New Breed and Preliminary New Breed, your cat does not have to be registered in TICA to compete in it's first TICA show. However, it must be registered for second and subsequent shows in order to claim titles and to earn points towards TICA’s Annual Awards. Contact the TICA Executive Office at (956) 428-8046 if you have questions regarding an individual cat registration.

Exhibition/Sale

You must have a cat‘s in competition in order to purchase exhibition or for-sale entries. No sales will be permitted from carriers. All cats/kittens in the show hall MUST be entered into the catalogue as per club rules. The catalogue will list the Exhibition and For Sale entries. A completed entry form for each kitten or cat for sale or on exhibition must be received by the Entry Clerk before the close of Regular Entries. Kittens must be 3 calendar months of age to be in the show hall. For this show, kittens must have been born on or before Mar 26, 2020 Be prepared to produce a copy of the litter registration to verify proof of age. If you cannot produce the litter registration at the show, you will be required to remove the kittens from the show hall. These rules will be strictly enforced.

New Breed/Preliminary

All PNB and ANB must have a TICA Registration number prior to entry in a TICA show. No PNB or ANB may enter a TICA show with "Registration Pending".

BENCHING

General

Exhibitors MUST check in with the Entry Clerk upon arrival at the Show Hall and prior to benching of entries.  Benching requests will be honoured wherever possible. Sides, top and bottom of the cage(s) are to be covered by exhibitor. As per TICA Rules 26.1.2 No more than 1 cat or 2 kittens are allowed per single cage space.

Size

Single: 21" high x 21" deep x 21" wide.  Double: 21" high x 21" deep x 45" wide.  Each entry is entitled to one single cage space at no charge.  Double cage spaces for single entries must be purchased as an additional cage space, please see the Summary Sheet for pricing.

SHOW RULES

General

TICA Show Rules will be strictly enforced. Rosettes will be awarded in accordance with these rules. By entering, all exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and show committee. Official Show Rules can be obtained for $7.00 from TICA, PO Box 2684 , Harlingen , TX 78551 ; phone (956) 428-8046 or online at http://www.ticaeo.com/Content/Publications/Pages/showrules.pdf . All entries must be listed in the official show catalogue.  The Show Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry and/or have any person or animal removed from the Show Hall for any cause deemed to be in the best interest of the show.

VETTING AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

General

This is a non-vetted show.  All entries must conform to normally accepted health requirements and have current vaccinations.  Any entry showing signs of illness will be asked to leave the Show Hall.

Claws

As stated by TICA Show Rules, all claws, front and back, must be clipped. 

Customs

Cats entering Canada must show proof of Rabies vaccination, if requested to do so by Canada Customs. 

ADVERTISING

General

Must be camera ready. Space is limited and determined on a first come- first served basis. Garden City Cat Club reserves the right to refuse any advertisement.

 

 

Catalogue

Must be photo ready by June 1st, 2020Inside cover - $100.00; Full Page - $75.00; Half Page - $45.00; Quarter Page - $30.00; Business Card - $10.00.

VENDORS

General

DEADLINE June 1st, 2020 There is Limited space available for Vendors. A charge of $100.00 for both days will be levied per 8' table.

$100.00 per 8'x4'.

LITTER

 

Litter will be available.  Please provide your own litter pans.  Bring your own kitty food.

FOOD SERVICES

 

Both breakfast and lunch will be conveniently available adjacent to the show hall.

CLERKS

 

Clerks are very appreciated! They will be given lunch and $30.00 for each day clerked.  Please see Summary Sheet if you are willing to clerk.  Clerking fees will be paid upon completion of your assignment, please do not deduct from your entry fees.
